
Our group is a fun and active gathering , enjoying social activities, outings and walking.
We want to help people with dementia to enjoy life and to have a voice in our local community.

- Understanding and Education of Children regarding dementia
Who do we want to influence?
Local School Children, and G.P. Surgeries to provide better aftercare by directing to our groups
Latest update:
FRIENDS FOR LIFE DEEP (Nottm) “Ay’e up mi duck” are busy making plans for 2023.
We now have weekly free swim sessions/ free lunch followed by table games THANKS to The Lenton Centre, Nottm.
We also have monthly walks (Thursday) with a chat and a cuppa.
We have Monthly meetings on 3rd Thursday with free drinks and biscuits & cake; making future plans for trips out and some fun games and prizes.
We now have a TrentDementia ‘Cafe’ based in the Nottm City Centre called TIGER CIC free lunch on the 3rd weds p.month.
Future Trips being finalised: Welbeck Estate May 11th and Ollerton Water Mill June 8th.
The group is picking up and now helping each other.
We still have weekly craft sessions through Trent Dementia.
We had a evening meeting with a presentation from Chris Roberts and Jayne Goodrick, reflecting on their experience through diagnosis over 10 years, which lead them to be pro-active into “Research”. They closed their meeting by advocating we should all read a copy of “Knowledge is Power”. It was a great meeting of minds, thanks to them travelling from Wales to Nottingham.
