DEEP is a network of groups of people with dementia all across the UK.

DEEP brings the network of individual groups together to share experiences, learn from and to support each other.

Some groups are formed for support and friendship in the beginning. Many groups go on to become involved in campaigning and awareness raising about dementia. They all matter and they all aim to enable people to have a voice about what matters to them

On this website you can find out more about the DEEP network, and about the groups that are DEEP.

You can also download lots of resources on a range of topics. These resources have been created or co-created by members of the DEEP Network.

Quotes from DEEP group members

Chris Norris Co-facilitator and member of Ashford Phoenix

It no longer feels like we are working away in our own small silos but are part of one positive and forward-thinking network to better enhance all our lives.

Tommy Dunne Member of DEEP THRED and SURF

Through the DEEP groups I learnt to laugh again. What’s great about DEEP is that you can be yourself, there’s no hidden agendas. DEEP gives us hope and that hope fuels the lighthouse that we need to help us see our way through dementia.

Allison Batchelor Member of Dementia NI

Following diagnosis, I very quickly got involved with my local group. I can honestly say this changed my life. After my diagnosis I felt my life was over and then I went to my first group meeting. I instantly felt hope and realised life could most definitely be still lived and enjoyed. The peer support was amazing, and the friendships quickly developed. It was fantastic to be with a group of friends who knew exactly how I was feeling and the challenges I faced daily. They shared coping strategies and advice about what worked for them and what might work for me.
