WHO WE ARE: Skills for Care.
We work with employers, Government and partners to ensure social care has the right people, skills and support required to deliver the highest quality care and support now and in the future.
We provide managers and those involved in the delivery of social care with guidance to help best support workforce recruitment, capabilities, and culture.
Our vision is of a fair and just society where people can access the advice, care and support they need to live life to the fullest.
We are currently reviewing the Dementia-Core-Skills-Education-and-Training-Framework.pdf.
This work has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care in support of the health and adult social care workforces.
We’d want to ensure that we include the voice of people with Dementia in this piece of work.
We’re looking for people with lived experience of Dementia and health and adult social provision.
The project has started now and will progress over the summer months, with view a to a revised framework by the end of the year.
Project activity will mainly take place remotely, telephone and teams.
Initially we are looking for representation within a defined steering group-this will be 3/4 2 hour meetings over the summer period. We can also look to establish other meetings as needed/preferred in support.
