I have just received this email from Cynth, Friends for Life. Steve and Cynth are seeking some peace and quiet in their caravan away from home, but are driving back home to support their group whenever they can. Otherwise they are keeping going on Zoom with tin cans and string to get a good wi-fi signal.
This story had to be shared for a definite feel good Friday – DEEP respect to Steve and Cynth.
“We have four new members, we went home and met up for a coffee to meet them all, as there are three ladies on their own and I thought it would be nice for them to meet each other, so when we all meet up for our meetings they will know each other. They couldn’t thank us enough they were so pleased that they are not now on their own. We had a message left on our mobile phone from one lady it was so emotional for us and we were just so happy that the group will make a difference. She said she now is looking forward to life, not just waiting till she gets worse to go into a home. We are having our first event Monday 7th June, we are going for a walk in the local country park and we will be treating them to coffee and cake.”
