“We have been blown away by the response and number of people interested – what a huge network the DEEP network is! It’s fantastic. All the blankets from last year have been received and they are just wonderful. As I only have very limited hours dedicated to this, I’ve been mostly dealing with responding to all the emails and asking people which materials they need us to send/putting together a spreadsheet to keep track of this, so haven’t got to the sending of materials and receiving of squares part yet. We have set deadline of Friday to send out all the wool and postage envelopes, but it may spill over into next week.”
Jo says: “Can I add to this, Rachel S is super coordinated & doing a marvelous job !! She makes me feel tired with her beautiful energy & enthusiasm ? she’s a star!
– we have had interest from people living with Dementia & in community groups who are not part of DEEP so would really like to refer them to the local DEEP groups to register / link up & build connections– hoping this will boost uptake / promote groups across the country.
Rachel has received squares and has 50 involved so far – poor Gwynneth & her mum who are doing the sewing up will run out of fingers !”
