Making your point – I call on the Government – What you have said….

Over the coming months, three of the four UK countries (England, Scotland, and Wales) will be working on new national strategies/ action plans for dementia. We believe that the voices, experiences, wishes and needs of people with dementia should be at the heart of these plans. So we have invited people with the lived experience from the DEEP Network to tell us what they would like their governments to do.
We did not provide any headings or parameters of any kind. However we have retrospectively grouped the responses under six themes:
1. Keeping active
2. Diversity and inclusion
3. Care and support
4. Money matters
5. Awareness
6. Listening and ACTING
We hope that these responses convey a strong sense of what matters in 2021 to people affected by dementia. As such, they can and should serve as a reality check for the current planning activity.

So this is what you said!

We shall distribute it as widely as possible and we invite you to do that too.

We offer our very sincere thanks to everybody who contributed to Making a Point.
