Friends for Life (Nottm) “Ay’e up mi duck’s” first meeting face to face in 2021. New members slotted in like they were always with us, their thanks for giving them hope of feeling alive again was overwhelming. Ghazal did a great job of suggesting we do it again every 2 weeks, they were more than eager. Some of our members showed some of their “Old self” again, and was good to see. It gave an opportunity for others to help with the planning and organising, which went down well.
It was regrettable some could not make it or respond, but the numbers made it perfectly manageable. Ghazal striding out with a group of willing walkers, although appeared again later, at a much slower pace, but with beaming smiles as they soaked up the atmosphere of a new era.
