Dear Friends,Happy New Year! I may have mentioned this already, but we finally managed to get the booking link live. IDEAL, the project I work for, co-created a documentary film about dementia and communication called ‘The World Turned Upside Down’. It’s freely available on YouTube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA_I20ffsW8 and has already been watched by almost 3000 people and has been well-reviewed by people living with dementia, carers, and professionals working in dementia from community services through to NHS staff.
Prof Charles Musselwhite and I have managed to organise a free screening of the film at the Aber Arts Centre cinema, in conjunction with the ever-marvellous CADR. We’re going to have some audience discussion of the film’s themes and a chance to share information and resources. It’s on Tuesday 24th January at 2pm and you can book here:

I know that many of you are based far from Aber (although everyone I’m emailing is at least in the country!), but I wanted to share this with you in case there are people in your network who are over West Wales way and might be interested in attending. Also, you are very welcome to run your own screening in a location which better suits you! I can make the film file available to you and you can do your own event in a cinema, a church hall with a projector, wherever you like really.
