They spoke of the TV programme ‘As Time Goes by’which was shown on the BBC between 1992 and 2005 on Sundays (we think!). “It’s funny, there’s no bad language, it has got a good story. That’s what I like” says Len. “The plots aren’t complicated,” said John. Linda says she doesn’t have any favourites she says, “variety is the spice of life”.
When we were having a chat about the Spotlight page Maxine described television on a Sunday evening as ‘the soft and cuddly slot’. The programmes that sprung to mind had a gentleness and sense of humour that people warmed to.
Dory also talks about her favourite book ‘The Salt Path’ by Raynor Winn.
