Dementia & Imagination feedback and value of arts interventions

The Dementia & Imagination project finished in 2017 but, although the research work is done, they are interested in finding out what you gained from hearing about the project.

If you would be happy to answer a few questions, either in the form of a questionnaire or via a brief phone call (roughly 15-20 minutes), please could you contact Bruce Davenport (one of the project researchers) via his email:

They would also take this opportunity to let you know about a couple of publications that have come out of the Dementia & Imagination project that  you might be interested in.

Bangor University developed a cost-benefit analysis of the value of arts interventions: (https://academic.oup.com/gerontologist/advance-article/doi/10.1093/geront/gny147/5203293). The paper is ‘Open Access’ which means you can read it for free, even if you don’t normally have access to academic journals.

The project team also developed a handbook of research informed approaches to visual arts programmes for people affected by dementia. It is currently free to download from the ‘Arts for Health’ website: (https://www.artsforhealth.org/resources/dementia-and-imagination.pdf).
