Due to a clash with another event, the next DEEPer Conversations session will now be on Wednesday 8th June 10-11.30am.
These sessions are for people with dementia to have their say on a particular issue and are recorded to be made into a podcast at a later date.
Special provision will always be needed for some people with dementia at certain points in their lives.
But mostly, people with dementia live their lives as part of wider society……..and that’s just the way many people like it.
However, there is still a widely-held view that people with dementia need separate and special provision.
Dementia Friendly shopping sessions at supermarkets or swimming pools for example. This sometimes happens at the cost of a wider look at what can be done to make these services accessible for everyone.
So how do we stay part of non-dementia society for as long as possible?
What can we and those around us do to make that a reality?
Please join us for what look set to be a lively and fascinating discussion.
