We had a great group today and hit on our past and present thoughts around sport and this is an extract of how the conversation went.
” I used to have a 32 waist said Ken, I got hooked on weight training, which was so absorbing, the problem was there was no time for my wife and children, so these days I really value my daily walk with Lily our dog. I can’t wait to get back to outdoor bowls, said Roy we are counting down the days. We have an international quality place to play in Victoria Park in Leamington Spa…. . Beryl Cook paintings and rather large ladies in white came to mind. It was more Volleyball for me said David, but not anymore.!!!! Hockey and Netball for me said Jill, but these days its close-up time with Darcy Bussell and a DVD workout – not to be out done Hazel piped up, boasting about the tennis courts at the end of her lane and dreaming about the courts opening back up in April when the ‘rusty racquets’ will once again rule. We finished off with a Poem from Roy from our wonderful poetry book that Roy won in a past competition ran by DEEP and a show and tell from the wonderful Charlie Macksey book The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse.” – Happy Days
