About ‘Dementia Adventure in a Box’
Over the last three years, Dementia Adventure supported four partner organisations to set up outdoor adventure activities for people with dementia locally. This included making existing activities more inclusive and developing some exclusively for people with dementia. We worked with Methodist Homes Association, The Conservation Volunteers, Social Farms & Gardens and Abbeyfield Society. The evaluation was led by the Association for Dementia Studies (ADS) at the University of Worcester, with specialist support from the Green Exercise Research Team at the University of Essex.
Who Is This Webinar For? This session is open to anybody with an interest in nature, connection and dementia. It will be of interest to individuals looking to support people with dementia to get outdoors including staff and volunteers at green space organisations, care farms, care homes, carer groups and other organisations providing support. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our team on training@dementiaadventure.co.uk
