Liz Rose from YoungDementia UK shares some information about a very successful Zoom meeting and news from PACE

YoungDementia UK shared this on the website and over the next few weeks after being in various meetings, and talking to people it became clear that there was a need to connect more people living with young onset dementia together and not just in the Oxfordshire area.
YoungDementia Uk decided to build on the ideas of the PACE group and create a more extensive and far-reaching collection of experiences, stories and coping strategies for living in lock down. It was an opportunity for people with young onset to support each other during this time of isolation, to share their experiences and learn from each other.
With the help of our social media and the DEEP Network we put the call out to people to join us in a Zoom meeting. An amazing 14 people living with a diagnosis got in touch and said they were interested in taking part, it was a fun and dynamic group and a supportive, interesting and enjoyable hour and half.”
