Zoom sessions

Tuesday 23rd May at 4pm – Zoom Our DEEP News editorial session – this session is open to all DEEPers, so please share. This is to discuss what we should focus on in the next edition of Our DEEP News.

24th May – deadline for news for Our DEEP News – please send copy with photographs about what your group has been up to.

Wednesday 24th May at 5pm – Facilitator Zoom for facilitators who do NOT have a diagnosis of dementia.
This session is open to discuss any issues that you need to in a safe and confidential space. A maximum of ten spaces are available so please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to attend.

Wednesday 31st May at 12.30 – Facilitator session open to all. To discuss any issues that arise. If you have a particular topic you would like to discuss, please let me know.

Facilitator events

As I hope you are aware – we have two facilitator events coming up. The first one in Manchester on the 29th of June is now full. If you would like your name to be put on the reserve list, please do get in touch.

London facilitator event still has a few places left on Wednesday 12th July. This will be the last (and my last facilitator event in my role as DEEP coordinator) event within the current DEEP funding. Please get in touch as soon as possible to secure one of the last few places.
The venue is very close to Kings Cross and Euston Station so really convenient if you fancy a day trip. Expenses are covered.

We will be creating a booklet of case studies about groups reflecting the diversity and range of different models of groups – so even if you can’t attend and would like to contribute, please let me know.

I am hoping to be able to set up a ZOOM link for people to present their group case study at these events virtually. Sadly, due to limited budget and technology it won’t be a very sophisticated two-way process. Please contact me if you want to take part.

DEEP DVD
We have made DVDs of the six DEEP films and the DEEP symphony which were made for the DEEP 10th Anniversary. We hope this will mean that people who don’t have access to the web will be able to enjoy the films. We also hope that it will make it easier for you to show in your groups. I have packaged up copies so that you will all receive one copy. I still have a couple of hundred of them though and would very much like to see them distributed to people to enjoy in their own homes (providing they have a DVD player). Please let me know if you would like to receive more copies or if you want me to send a DVD to anyone in particular.

Hope to see some of you on Zoom in the next couple of weeks and more of you in person in Manchester and London.

Rachel
